Health and Safety Policies
Your child’s health and safety are important to us. We have sanitation procedures to ensure the laptops, accessories, and desks will be clean for each class.
Regarding the health of your family, we have implemented the following guidelines:
- All devices will be cleaned with electronics-safe cleaner before and after each class.
- Students, or students with immediate household family members, who are feeling sick will be advised not to attend our classes and will receive a full refund.
- Any instructor who feels ill will not be able to teach classes. Another instructor who has not been in contact with the first will assume responsibilities. In the event that a replacement can not be found, the class will be cancelled or rescheduled.
Regarding the safety of your family, we have implemented the following guidelines:
- Parents or guardians are required to check in their child, ensure we have a phone number on record in case of emergencies, and provide information on who is picking up their child.
- Doors are locked during class and will remain unlocked until 5-10 minutes before the end.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I sign my son or daughter up for class?
You can sign up for a class by clicking a “Enroll” button above.
Are there mandatory prerequisites for your classes?
There are no mandatory prerequisites for classes, but each class provides recommended age ranges and skills to help complete the class. Sites like code.org can help introduce computer science to beginners and will help in our sessions.
How are class cancellations communicated?
We really don’t like cancelling class; however, there may be times when we may have to close a class offering. Classes may be cancelled due to unsafe weather or other reasons out of our control. Weather cancellations will be announced on Facebook and Twitter followed by an email and phone call. In the event of canceling a class in advance, a decision will be made at least 24 hours before class starts, and you’ll receive an email and refund for the class. Any classes cancelled will result in a refund for your ticket.
How strict are you on the age ranges or grade levels?
We recommend age ranges for certain classes and events to help foster an environment for our students with their peers; however, exceptions may be made based on the student’s age and skill level. Contact us if you have questions or would like more information.
Where does my middle schooler with no coding experience start?
We recommend one of our more advanced game design or robotics classes. Your student would feel more confident in classes with similarly-aged children and completing the Hour of Code prior to attending will help.
What do you do when school is out?
Every summer we focus on Coding Clubs, online courses, and workshops and coding camps at local schools and organizations. We also offer free video tutorials on coding and compiling free resources for young coders.
